The Michigan State Spartans hockey team wrapped up their regular season with a 2-1 win on Saturday over the Penn State Nittany Lions, snapping a 13-game losing streak that the Spartans suffered. Michigan State finished the regular season with a record 12-21-1 but will have a chance to right the ship when they take on arch-rival Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament.

Michigan is currently a top-5 ranked team in America and finished the regular season with a record of 25-9-1. The two rivals will play in a best two-out-of-three series in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament.
