After defeating the No. 1 team in the country on Friday, 4-2, the Spartans welcomed the Badgers back to Munn Ice Arena on Saturday evening for game two of their series with Wisconsin.
In game two, the Spartans were led by goaltender Trey Augustine, who stood on his head for MSU, making 28 saves en route to a 3-2 win, completing the sweep of the nation’s top team.
The Spartans had three separate players score in the game, getting goals from Jeremy Davidson, Joey Larson and Nash Nienhuis.
A huge weekend for Adam Nightingale and company as they continue to pursue a Big Ten championship.
MSU will be back in action, on the road next week, when they travel to Minnesota for a series with the Golden Gophers.
