Michigan State football punter Bryce Baringer was considered one of the best punters in college football for the past few seasons, and now the former Spartan will get a chance to show what he can do at the next level, as he was just drafted in the sixth round of the NFL draft by the New England Patriots.
Baringer, who was a consensus First-Team All-American, averaged 49 yards per punt this past year, with a longest punt of 72 yards.
Baringer was the first punter selected in the draft. Baringer has a crazy story, in that he temporarily hung up the pads and joined the team’s social media and marketing department before becoming one of the best punters in the country.
