Mel Tucker has already done a remarkable job during his tenure with Michigan State football, but he has yet to land the ‘big one’ on the recruiting trail, AKA a 5-star recruit. Tucker is clearly looking to change that soon, with multiple 5-stars recently talking about offers or conversations they’ve had with the Spartans.
The latest 5-star is Jeremiah Smith, the top ranked receiver in the 2024 class who posted on Twitter on Monday night that he just received an offer from MSU.
Smith is a 5-star recruit in the 2024 and the top ranked wide receiver in that class by 247Sports. He’s currently projected to go to Ohio State but also has interest from many of the other top schools in the country. Smith currently plays for Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Florida.
