One of the more beloved Spartans in recent memory is officially moving on to the next chapter in his playing career. On Saturday, it was reported by Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress that Gabe Brown will forego his remaining extra year of eligibility with Michigan State basketball and has declared for the 2022 NBA draft.
While a multi-game slump during the season inhibited Brown from taking the leap many hoped to see this year, he was able to increase his points per game from 7.2 in 2020-21 to 11.6 in 2021-22.
A career 38-percent three-point shooter who can defend and attack the rim with insane athleticism, Brown has always flashed potential to put it all together and become an NBA role player and it will be fun to watch if he’s able to make it there in the coming years.
