A scary moment occurred during the Michigan-Ohio State game when Wolverines offensive lineman Zak Zinter suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury, one that required him to be carted off the field. The whole Michigan community and team rallied around Zinter immediately after the injury, as fans chanted “Let’s go Zak.”
But Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy provided the most heartwarming moment when he embraced Zinter’s parents in a hug. The moment was shared by Fox College Football’s account on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Not only was it a heartwarming moment, but it was pure class from McCarthy, who showed just how close-knit the Michigan community is with this gesture. It's clear how much Zinter, who passed on the 2023 NFL Draft to return for his senior year, means to the Wolverines.
Moments later, Michigan running back Blake Corum scored on a 22-yard scamper to the end zone, a touchdown that gave the Wolverines a 24-17 lead at the time. But the first thing on Corum's mind was Zinter, as he flashed the lineman's number, 65, right in front of the end zone cameras.
