The rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan is alive and well. While we all keep an eye on what is happening in Buckeye Nation, there is a wandering eye on what is happening in Ann Arbor.
Today hasn’t been the best day for our rivals on the transfer portal front. Just this early afternoon, two contributors, one each on offense and defense, have entered the portal and will leave.
Both of them figure to leave the Wolverines with holes to fill at their respective positions. Find out below which two Michigan players have entered the portal and will move on along with the impact of their decisions.
Wide receiver AJ Henning

Impact
Although not a starter, Henning played a big role for the Wolverines in their return game. He returned punt and kickoff for a score and also had a touchdown in 2021 against Ohio State on a reverse. This is a significant loss for them.
Defensive back R.J. Moten
Michigan DB R.J. Moten has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per @mzenitz.
He started 10 games last season for the Wolverines👀https://t.co/hPvVqywJPJ pic.twitter.com/s0seqaNtle

Impact
As the tweet explains, Moten was a starter for the Wolverines. He had his best season last year, registering 31 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and picked off one pass. Moten was potentially moving positions as well, from safety to linebacker. Anytime you see a starter enter the portal, it’s a big loss.
