Well, Michigan fans are not happy with how the first College Football Playoff ranking has gone.
The undefeated Wolverines clocked in at No. 5 in the CFP’s first official standings, with Tennessee, Ohio State, Georgia and Clemson ranked above them in that order.
While nobody is shocked to see the Vols at the top or Georgia high up, Michigan fans seem to be very insulted at the suggestion that Clemson might be better in the selection committee’s eyes.
Sure, Michigan is undefeated and has wins over teams like Penn State and, uh, Michigan State. Though, committee chair Boo Corrigan says the strength of schedule is what’s separating Michigan from Clemson at the moment.
CFP chair Boo Corrigan says Michigan is "right there" but outside of the top 4 because of the Wolverines' strength of schedule.

Well, some folks, including plenty of Michigan fans, still aren’t too thrilled about the Wolverines being considered a spot lower than the Tigers.
If Michigan really wants to prove its mettle and move up the rankings, its annual rivalry game against Ohio State is Nov. 26. Win that, and the team will likely snag a spot higher than No. 5.
Clemson being at #4 in the CFP is an absolute joke. They’re practically a lock to get into the playoff now even if they lose once.
You can’t tell me they’re 3 spots better than TCU, much less better than Michigan and Alabama.

Michigan would destroy Clemson, you can’t even bring up non conference schedule because they’re both weak. The CFP Committee once again shows why a change is needed.

The CFP rankings always work themselves out, but Clemson over Michigan is just another reason to end the committee all together. Ohio State at 2 and Michigan at 5 is the dumbest crap possible. To think people sit in a room and come up with this trash is pure comedy.

Michigan at 5???? The CFP committee is a joke!! The only one they got right was Tennessee……#screwjob

No way Michigan should be 5 behind Clemson in the cfp playoff rankings. This is bs https://t.co/W2JAMQxgs3

not gonna get worked up about meaningless CFP rankings barely halfway through the season but dude there is zero justifiable reason to have Clemson ahead of Michigan
