Michelle Visage and Nella Rose have signed up to host this year’s BRITs red carpet to keep the stars on their toes at London’s O2 on Saturday, February 11.

The pair, who are known for not holding back, will do interviews with the famous guests as they arrive for the annual music event, for the BRITs Red Carpet Live Stream.

Rose, who returns for a second year in the role, has just finished the first season of The Red Carpet Treatment, a podcast launched by The BRITs in the run-up to this year’s campaign.

RuPaul’s Drag Race host Visage said: “I am thrilled to come together with the fabulous Nella Rose to host the red carpet at the world famous BRIT Awards!

“PS: If Beyonce doesn’t make it, I’ll do pretty much anything for a Crunchie bar. Call me, BRIT Awards."

Catfish UK host Rose added: “I’m sooo happy to be back at The BRITs this year and I’m super excited to be hosting the red carpet with the beautiful Michelle Visage."

The pair’s red carpet appearance will be a 60-minute live broadcast on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter as the nominees, which includes Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran, get ready for a huge night of celebrations.

Radio 1 presenter Jack Saunders will be backstage as the winners step off stage.

Meanwhile, Stormzy has been announced as the latest act to perform at the BRITs.

The rapper will join the likes of Lizzo, Wet Leg, Harry Styles – who won the album of the year award at the Grammys on February 5 – Sam Smith, Kim Petras and Lewis Capaldi.

Stormzy released latest album This Is What I Mean in November, and is nominated for album of the year, artist of the year and hip hop/grime/rap act.

A year after the Brits abandoned its gendered male and female categories, the awards show has been criticised for the nominations for artist of the year prize being entirely male.

Women-led acts comprise 33 per cent of the overall nominations.

A BRITs spokesperson said the lack of women in the category was “disappointing”.

Comedian Mo Gilligan will return to host the awards after a successful stint at the helm of the 2022 show.
