Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright's home causes fresh distraction as fans defend them over 'unlived in' comments

Fans have jumped to the defence of Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright again after they were slapped with more 'unlived in' comments about their plush home as they gave a fresh look at their sofa. The loved-up couple finally moved into their huge abode, said to be worth £3.5m, in September last year.

Michelle and Mark finally got to move into their extravagant abode after two years worth of extensive renovation work. Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark and ex-Coronation Street actress Michelle took fans along with them on the journey of creating their dream home via their own home-based Instagram account, Wrighty Home.

They have since given his followers different glimpses inside his sprawling abode with the latest being over the Easter bank holiday weekend. They shared a snap of their pristine wraparound sofa covered in scatter cushions sofa in question, which was displayed proudly in the middle of their cream-painted living room.

The space appeared complete with an opulent chandelier and a round coffee table that had been adorned with stack of books and some other ornaments. Alongside the image, the couple wrote on Instagram: "Scatter cushions finishing our living room sofa perfectly."

But the immaculate room came in for some criticism from fans who weren’t convinced by the need for so many cushions, or were unimpressed by its perfect condition.

@tracey.griffin12 said: "Stunning but looks unlived in." @wyleskate commented: "Perfection but that’s not living, won’t want to sit on the sofa for fear of messing it up. Every house needs to be a home not a show." @laynie258 shared: "Looks gorgeous but I would be putting cushions straight in my sleep…"

Others, however, were quick to defend the couple. @fatgirl_gone said: "All those moaning it’s a show home. Put your jealousy away. They’re hardly going to post a picture of them sat in their pants eating crisps and watching Netflix." @notfurlong_ commented: "If it looked messy people would b***h about that too….you can’t win. Jeez if I had a house like this I’d show it off too, so many jealous haters looking to throw shade."

@lorrainematthews5 wrote: "What is it with people saying nasty things, jealous maybe. Cushions don’t take seconds to plump up, looks lovely." @marym3107 replied: "Absolutely stunning. A lot of jealous people commenting on here…why bother look if your going to be nasty." @helsbels1072 added: "Looks amazing. Enjoy it…ignore the people on here who have nothing nice to say…my dad always said if you have nothing nice to say don’t say it at all. The other option is to unfollow then you don’t have to see this beautiful, worked hard for home."

It comes after Michelle and Mark showed off their scandi-style interiors including neutral toned colour scheme, modern sculptures and intricate light fittings last month. Alongside a string of photos, Mark on their @wrightyhome Instagram page wrote: "Here we go as promised, some interiors. We wanted to use a company that could supply the majority of stuff, allowing us to get everything through the same company for ease reasons."

"@olivias.uk had everything and more, moreover, totally to our taste. Here are some of our fave products," the post added. But despite the explanation, some were unimpressed by the decision to bring a company in to decorate the home.
