A pair of former Michelin Star chefs have worked wonders with a regular McDonald's meal, transforming it into a sumptuous gourmet feast. Content creator Danny Kim set chefs Kiran Saund and John Synder the challenge of crafting a luxurious meal using Maccies fast food, handing them his take-out bag, and they more than rose to the challenge.
Kiran and John told Danny, 26, from Maryland, US, they'd be whipping up a dish of hunters-style chicken and potato croquettes, kicking off by adding the iconic French fries to a hot pan with shallots, garlic, mirepoix, flour, sage, thyme, roasted chicken sauce, and milk.
The paste-like texture was then put onto a tray and placed in the fridge for five minutes. Pickles, shallots, spinach, and vinegar were then chucked into a pan and left to wilt into a tasty-looking relish.

It was then time for the sausage mixture, which involved combining pork, thyme, sage, shallots, garlic, and roasted chicken sauce, setting this in the fridge before taking out the now chilled croquette mix from earlier on. These were then shaped into balls and popped into the freezer to set.
The mirepoix was then made by frying carrots, onions, and celery together in a pan, before the chefs returned to the by-then wilted spinach relish, adding pecans before blending and putting in a piping bag.
One of the crispy chicken breasts from a McDonald's sandwich was chopped into small pieces, and added to the mirepoix, while the buns were toasted in the oven. The stock and chicken sauce was added to the pan before the buns were removed from the oven, ripped up, and blended. This fine crumb mixture was then added to the refrigerated sausage mix.
Pastry for the hunter’s chicken was rolled out, and topped with sausage and crispy chicken, which the chefs made sure to fully encase before brushing with egg and scoring, one hole cut in the top.
The croquette balls were dipped in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs and fried in hot oil until golden. The refrigerated hunter's chicken was baked, with the spinach relish spooned in to fill the top hole of the chicken.
Plating up the meal, the chefs halved the hunter’s chicken, creating a spinach relish ring, and filled this with the gravy and a potato croquette. Edible flowers were then added as a finishing flourish.
In a video that has clocked up more than 117,000 like and 1.1 million views on TikTok, one of the chefs can be heard saying: "Alright, so we just turned your McDonald's into a hunter’s-style chicken with a potato croquette and fried chicken sauce."
Danny, who goes by the username @dannygrubs, Kiran, and John then tuck into the revamped takeaway, awarding it a very satisfied two thumbs up and a 10/10.
A number of followers have been left keen to try the dish for themselves, with one person remarking that it looked "scrumdiddlyumptious."
Another wrote: "This might be the best one yet! Visually and as I look I feel like I can taste it."
