Michail Antonio Crash Update: West Ham Star Discharged From Hospital
Over three weeks on from his horrific crash, Antonio has now been released from hospital and is recovering at home, as per the Daily Mail.
It is thought the striker will not play football again this season.
Antonio, who is West Ham’s all-time Premier League top goalscorer, is out of contract in the summer. However, discussions over his future will take place soon.
Antonio spoke to his team-mates via video call before West Ham’s 2-1 win over Wolves earlier this month, shortly after his accident. The squad wore shirts with ‘Antonio 9’ on them during their warm-up.
Since joining West Ham from Nottingham Forest in 2015/16, Michail Antonio has scored a club-record 68 goals in 268 Premier League appearances.
As a youngster, he also had spells at Southampton, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday. All of his former clubs have offered messages of support to the player.
