Michael Strahan recently provided an update on his daughter Isabella's ongoing battle with a brain tumor. Isabella, a 20-year-old student at the University of Southern California, has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment for a malignant brain tumor known as a medulloblastoma.
During a recent hospitalization, Isabella experienced a fever that prompted her father to take her to the hospital. Despite the challenges, Strahan expressed hope that she would be able to return home soon. Isabella herself shared her chemotherapy experience on a YouTube vlog, describing it as one of the most difficult things she has ever endured.
Isabella recounted feeling the effects of the chemotherapy in her body, leading to intense pain such as headaches and jaw discomfort. She likened the jaw pain to the sensation of having all her teeth removed without any anesthesia, causing tears over the excruciating discomfort.
Following her cancer diagnosis, Isabella took proactive steps by freezing her eggs and completing her last round of radiation in January. The Strahan family first disclosed Isabella's diagnosis to the public during an emotional interview on 'Good Morning America' earlier this year.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Isabella has shown resilience and strength throughout her treatment. Her father, Michael Strahan, commended her toughness and bravery as she continues to fight against her illness.
