Michael Schumacher is 'in the best hands' and receiving top class care according to a former Ferrari colleague.
Schumacher, who won five Formula One world titles in a row between 2000 and 2004 with Ferrari suffered life changing injuries in a skiing accident in 2013.
Not much is known about Schumacher's health today, as his family keep his condition closely guarded. However, in an interview with German outlet Bild, ex-Ferrari executive and close friend of Schumacher Jean Todt gave a rare update on his longtime pal.

"I am happy the fans, not only in Germany, think so much of him. People ask so often about Michael.
"The fans should know that he is in the best hands. In the best situation he can be in and surrounded by people who love him."
As the interview progressed, Todt revealed that he remains in close contact with the seven time world champion and tries to visit the 53-year-old as often as he can.
"As long as I am in this world, I will always visit them.
"Sometimes we see each other three times a week, sometimes not for a whole month.
"They are my friends and we are in constant contact. Whatever I can do for the Schumacher family, I will do."
Todt is one of the few people that have seen Schumacher since his accident in 2013. Last month, in an exclusive interview with The Irish Daily Mirror, legendary F1 star Eddie Jordan spoke about how he tried to visit Schumacher shortly after his accident.
“Corinna, was at one stage a girlfriend of our driver Heinz Harold Frentzen, who later left and went on to marry Schumacher," said Jordan.
“So, there was connection and I reached out and one stage asked was it appropriate and did I think we should go and visit him?
“The answer was no. No visitations for anyone at that moment except the actual direct family.
“However, since then, young Mick Schumacher - Michael's son - has reached out to me, and he has been extraordinary.”
