Michael Owen to speak out on daughter Gemma's Love Island stint as family meets Luca

Former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen will break his silence on daughter Gemma Owen's Love Island appearance as her family meets Luca Bish for the first time on tonight's show.

And it could be an awkward first meeting after Gemma's mam Louise voiced her concern about Luca's behaviour towards fellow star Tasha in the villa. Things are set to get very emotional for all the Islanders on tonight's show, as their friends and family drop by for a special visit ahead of the final tomorrow, the Mirror reports.

Gemma's mam Louise and friend Sarah are among the special guests, as are Luca's parents Michael and Maria. Unfortunately for Gemma, her dad is unable to visit, but still has a message for her.

Mam Louise tells her: "Honestly, he is really proud of you, really proud," before adding about the rest of the family: "They're all loving watching you, they're missing you like mad." Meanwhile, Luca's dad Michael, who is wearing a pair of fish flops, says of Gemma: "She puts you straight, doesn't she?"

Maria adds: "First night I said they fancy each other, I knew it. I love the values and morals she has."

Others arriving include Ekin-Su's mam Sezer and brother Arda, as well as Davide's mam Nadia and sister Valeria. Nadia says to her son in Italian: "You’re doing well and you’re being yourself. Dad’s also watching and sends his regards.

"He doesn’t understand much of the English! In Italy everyone has been watching you."

Davide points out that Ekin-Su is an actress, but Nadia insists: "But I can see she is being sincere. The way she looks at you, she is head over heels."

Ekin-Su's brother tells Davide: "I’ve never seen my sister look at a guy the way she looks at you. Clearly there’s something she sees in you.

"She’s my sister, she deserves the best, she really does, I’m not just saying that. I hope you’re willing to give her the best."
