Michael Owen has apologised to fans after he was unveiled as Doughnuts on The Masked Singer.
The former Manchester United and Liverpool striker was one of the 12 celebrities competing in the zany ITV singing show., and he became the second celeb to be voted off in a double elimination.
The 42-year-old pundit was sent home after he rapped Everybody Get Up by the boyband Five.

Afterwards Michael, who made it to episode six of the popular contest, took to Twitter to issue an apology.
He said: "Finally I can apologise for burning your ears these last few weeks.
"My kids badgered me into doing @MaskedSingerUK but I have to say it was a great experience and a whole lot of fun.
"Still can’t believe I got past round one!"
Also receiving the Doughnut treatment during his time on the show was Survivor's Eye of the Tiger, the Spice Girls hit Spice Up Your Life and Sweet Caroline.
Many fans were amazed to see the footballing legend on the stage.
