If daughter Gemma Owen makes it to the Meet The Parents segment of Love Island, fans will be disappointed to hear that her dad, footballer, Michael Owen won't be entering the villa. The former England international has suggested instead that Gemma's mum, Louise Owen, would be heading in to see their daughter, should she make to the final stages of the show.
Michael's comments came after watching his horse Box to Box, telling Sky Sports At The Races: "My wife will do that [going into Love Island] duty. I'll represent the horses and she'll represent the daughter.
"I dont know what I'll get from Box To Box, but I know what I'm going to get from my daughter. I've fathered her for 19 years so I'm pretty sure what I'm going to get from her."
