Michael Owen and two other pundits agree on exact Liverpool score vs Norwich

Liverpool are clear favourites for this afternoon's Premier League clash with Norwich City at Anfield.

Pundits have predicted the Reds will push aside their opponents 3-0 in what is expected to be a comfortable victory for Jurgen Klopp's men.

After beating Inter Milan in the Champions League midweek, spirits are high among the squad and attention now turns to the league and the title race.

A selection of pundits have shared their thoughts on the fixture and how the match will play out.

Michael Owen, Bet Victor (Liverpool 3-0 Norwich)

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen expects it to be a 'comfortable' win for Jurgen Klopp's side this afternoon.

He's also anticipated some changes in the starting line-up and believes Luis Diaz could start against the Canaries.

"It’s been a great few weeks for Liverpool and Wednesday’s win in Milan was the highlight. It wasn’t their best performance, but Klopp made good subs at the right time, and changed the game," Owen said.

"That’s got to be a real positive moving forward, Liverpool now have a squad where they have game changers on the bench.

"I’m not going to judge Norwich on their defeat to Man City last week. Obviously, those aren’t the games that will decide their season, and this is the same.

"However, this should be a comfortable win at Anfield. I’d expect a few changes from Liverpool, Luis Diaz might get a start, but I can see a 3-0 Liverpool win."

Mark Lawrenson, BBC (Liverpool 3-0 Norwich)

Another ex-Red Mark Lawrenson has backed his former club to take all three points from this fixture.

He says it will be another 'difficult day' for Norwich after they were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City last time out.

"As expected, Norwich's good little run was ended by Manchester City last week. Now they head for Anfield and it is obviously going to be another difficult day for them," Lawrenson said.

"Liverpool are going to be hard to stop because, even if Diogo Jota misses this game with the ankle injury he sustained against Inter Milan on Wednesday, they have got Roberto Firmino to come into their attack.

"Apart from Jota, everyone else is fit and Jurgen Klopp's side are ticking along nicely at the moment. Even if he rotates his team, they should win comfortably."

Paul Merson, Sportskeeda (Liverpool 3-0 Norwich)

The 'luxury' of having an almost fully fit squad will be a massive boost for Liverpool in this game, according to pundit Paul Merson.

Jurgen Klopp will be able to rotate the starting line-up for this game, but his side will still be able to put pressure on their rivals.

"Liverpool are relentless at the moment and I expect them to rack up another win to pile the pressure on Manchester City," Merson said.

"At the moment, they've got a massive squad and have the luxury of swapping and changing things up to keep their key players fit. The best part is whoever comes into the team performs well, which shows that they work hard in training.

"They are still going on all fronts and if they beat Norwich, they reduce the gap at the top of the table to six points."
