Michael Irvin felt compelled to give a fiery pep talk to photos of Cowboys players on a screen

The Dallas Cowboys are one win away from reaching their first conference championship game since 1996. And seemingly for the first time since that 1996 Super Bowl run, the Cowboys look like legitimate contenders in the NFC.

That has Cowboys nation awfully fired up for Sunday’s divisional round matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Just look at how former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin is handling the build-up to the game.

He’s spending actual television segments yelling at a screen that simply showed photos of a bunch of Dallas Cowboys players. In a “Choose your own pep talk” segment on NFL Network, Irvin saw a photo of himself from his playing days, which got him going on a series of lively speeches.

He’s literally yelling at a screen.

Judging from that, I’m sure Irvin will be cool, calm and collected watching the evening’s game.

Fans did enjoy how carried away Irvin got with the whole pep talk. The man is ready to suit up.

This was how Twitter reacted

Yeah, I think he’s ready.
