Michael Flatley said he wants the world to see the beauty of Ireland through his new movie - as he walked the red carpet at the Irish premiere.

The Lord of the Dance and Riverdance legend, 64, has written, directed and also stars in spy thriller Blackbird, which opens in cinemas on Friday 2 September.

Speaking at the star-studded red carpet in Dublin’s Lighthouse Cinema last night he said the film is both an ode to his late mother and to his love of Ireland.
