Hollywood star Michael Fassbender was 'okay' after a terrifying car crash during qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Kerry man's car spun out of control and crashed into a wall approaching one of the chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight while on a hot lap in his Proton Competition Porsche 911RSR.
Thankfully, the X-Man actor's condition was described as "okay" following the incident, and it is hoped that the car can be repaired to take part in the race.

The avid racer recorded a fastest lap time of 4:05.296 ahead of Saturday's main race.
Fassbender had spoken of his dream to compete in motorsports one day especially in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
He had previously said: "I've just always felt drawn to going fast into a corner—and fast out—and just naturally felt connected to it. And now I want to go to the ultimate place. I think it's the history of the place.
"I think it's the drivers that crashed there, or competed there, or won there. To be a part of that would be, you know, unbelievable."
