Josh Ginnelly's Swansea City career has been dealt an early injury setback.
The winger, who last week became the club's first signing of the summer, missed Saturday's 2-0 pre-season friendly win over Haverfordwest County with a calf injury, and could now be set for a spell on the sidelines as the Swans continue their preparations for the new Championship season.
The news is a blow to boss Michael Duff, who didn't sound too optimistic when delivering his assessment after the win at Fairwood, which came courtesy of goals from Joel Piroe and Josh Thomas.

However, there's better news on fellow new boy Josh Key, who also missed the clash with the JD Cymru Premier Side. He's expected to receive a run-out on Tuesday when Danish giants Brondby come to SA1 for another behind-closed-doors encounter.
“Unfortunately Josh Ginnelly felt his calf on his first day so that’s a frustration for him and for us,” Duff told the club's official website. “I don’t know the timescale but it didn’t look a great one.
“Josh Key hasn’t done any sprinting, so he’s fit, but he hasn’t opened himself up so he had a training day yesterday and he trained on his own today.
“But we will definitely see Josh Key on Tuesday.”
News of Ginnelly's injury was perhaps the only blot on what was otherwise a reasonably satisfying afternoon for the Swans, who despite fielding an entirely different XI at half-time, looked thoroughly comfortable all afternoon.
“I was really pleased,” Duff added. “We’ve worked on a lot of out of possession stuff this week particularly, and the reaction when we lost the ball, and the shape, is something we were really pleased with.
“It was a clean sheet, everyone looks like they have come through it and football fitness is the main thing.
“We can run them as much as we want, and they had a really, really hard session on Tuesday where we ran them for over two hours, so they still had a bit of that in their legs today.
“There was some good quality football, but the only disappointment is that we should have scored more goals.
“These games become more important as we get closer to the season. It was two split teams and that will be the same again on Tuesday (against Brondby).”
