Michael Douglas has paid a sweet tribute to his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones on Mother's Day, which took place in the US on Sunday, May 14. The Hollywood star shared an adorable throwback snap of the Welsh actress with their two children on Instagram.
The 78-year-old American actor and producer wrote: "Happy happy #MothersDay darling, you deserve it! You are the best and we love you so much @catherinezetajones", followed by a heart emoji.
Zeta-Jones, 53, commented on the post, writing: "Thank you, thank you" with two heart emojis. According to Hello! Magazine, the powerhouse couple spend the majority of their time in Westchester, New York, where they live with their two children Dylan, 22, and Carys, 20.

Fans gushed over the tribute to the Welsh actress, which has so far been liked over 12,800 times. "Little cuties! Happy Mother's Day Catherine," wrote one. Another simply said, "So beautiful" and a third commented, "My favorite family".
Douglas and Zeta-Jones tied the knot in November 2000, having first met at the Deauville Film Festival in France in August 1998. On their anniversary last year, the actress paid tribute to her "sweetheart" husband, sharing a candid photo of them kissing on Instagram.
Zeta-Jones, who was born in Swansea, got her big break in the early 1990s in TV series The Darling Buds Of May. She went on to star on stage and screen, including Ocean’s Twelve and Traffic, and she received an Oscar for her role in 2002’s Chicago. Douglas has also had a successful career as an actor and producer with his role as Gordon Gekko in 1987’s Wall Street, winning him the Oscar for best actor.
