During the trial, Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass presented a series of text messages exchanged between then-Trump attorney Michael Cohen and another individual on the evening of January 30, 2018. This was the same day Stormy Daniels made an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
During the interview, Jimmy Kimmel repeatedly questioned Stormy Daniels about the authenticity of her January 30 statement, in which she denied having an affair with Donald Trump.
In the text messages displayed in court, Cohen expressed to the recipient that Stormy Daniels was denying the authenticity of the letter, claiming that the signature on the statement was not hers. Cohen reminded the recipient that Daniels had signed the statement in front of him.
The recipient, identified as Davidson in the texts, responded by stating that it was impossible for Daniels to deny her signature as she had posted the statement on her own Twitter page. Davidson further mentioned that Daniels had acknowledged the signature during her appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
Cohen reiterated Daniels' denial of the signature during the show, indicating a discrepancy between her actions on social media and her statements on the television program.
