During a recent testimony, Michael Cohen revealed that he recorded a call with Donald Trump on September 6, 2016. This recording, according to Cohen, was the only time he had recorded a call in his ten years of working for Trump.
Cohen explained that he made the recording to show it to David Pecker, ensuring that Pecker was aware that they would be paid back by Trump. Cohen also admitted that he wanted Pecker to remain loyal to Trump.
Describing the act, Cohen mentioned that he had his cell phone in hand and hit record during the conversation with Trump. He clarified that he was positioned on the opposite side of Trump's desk at the time.
When asked if Trump was aware of the recording, Cohen responded that Trump was not aware of it.
