Michael Bublé is petitioning to become an 'official Glaswegian' after performing two nights at Glasgow's OVO Hydro Arena.
The Canadian singer, 47, performed at the Finnieston venue on Thursday and Friday night to crowds of buzzing fans as he took to social media to praise the city.
The iconic festive singer took to Twitter on Friday night after his second and final gig in the city, and wrote: "Petition to be an official Glaswegian because I feel very much at home here."
Music fans have been eagerly awaiting the I'm Feeling Good singer's return to the city after Covid delayed his plans to tour. Fans replied and praised the Christmas icon's sensational return to Scotland for the first time since 2019.
One replied: "What a show! I was at the front with my 11 year old son. He is buzzing and I can’t get him to sleep. He’s singing Higher constantly and decided to change his Stagecoach solo to that! He’s also buzzing you gave us one of the facecloths at the end. Thanks for making his night!"
"Brilliant show and thank you so much for singing me and my husband’s first dance tune! We got tickets to your concert for our first anniversary. My husband had a severe stroke 6 months before our wedding last April and lost his speech but he has recovered x," another gushed.
A third added: "Thank you, what a show, it was incredibly uplifting. You can consider yourself officially Glaswegian I reckon."
The Holly Jolly Christmas singer thanked the crowd for welcoming him "home" before inviting one young fan up onto the stage. A young boy called Daniel was invited up onto the stage after Bublé spotted his sign in the crowd which read: "It's my first concert, can I get a selfie?"
The singer is currently embarking on a 43 country world tour, but chose to film his gig in Glasgow for the upcoming tour DVD. He said: "This is where I wanted to shoot the special...you're my people."
Michael Buble is continuing the UK leg of his tour in Aberdeen on Saturday night before heading to Newcastle, Nottingham and Cardiff.
