Former Rangers star Andy Halliday claims Michael Beale "went mental" after his side's late slip-up denied them three points against Celtic.
The Hearts star was in Edinburgh Derby duty on Monday but states the Londoner was left unimpressed by Kyogo's late strike after pinball in the Rangers box helped retain the league leaders' nine-point advantage atop the Scottish Premiership table. Halliday told Open Goal: "I heard that Michael Beale went mental in the changing room after the game."
The admission came after the Jambos midfielder backed-up the 42-year-old's approach in a bid to keep Ange Postecoglou's men at bay. Some Ibrox punters rued the decision to sit deep and bring James Sands on after Kyogo struck home, but Halliday moved to point out how the tactic has worked to great effect in the past.
He added: "I've seen a lot of people criticising Beale for the subs he made and sitting in. Walter Smith is the best Rangers manager that I've ever seen and he did that every Old Firm and big game. For the second goal, Rangers had nine players in the box and Celtic have four and it falls to a Celtic player."
