Michael Beale has provided an injury update on his Rangers squad ahead of this weekend's semi-final clash.
The Ibrox side take on Aberdeen at Hampden on Sunday for a place in the Viaplay Cup final.
It's a highly important clash for both teams, but with the gap to Celtic so large at the summit of the table, Rangers will be especially keen to pick up domestic silverware this campaign.
And aside from the club's long-term absentees, such as Ianis Hagi, Tom Lawrence and Filip Helander, an update on the fitness of the current group has been given.
It's good news with regards to John Souttar, who is ahead of schedule in terms of his return to first team action.
Antonio Colak, who was subbed off through injury against Dundee United, could play on Sunday but it's touch and go. Kemar Roofe is available for selection.
Beale said: "Souttar trained all week and is ahead of schedule, this week is too soon and expect him around the squad for St Johnstone which is good news.
"Colak had a slight problem and is touch and go for this weekend.
"Roofe is ready to go, he is a really high-quality player.
"Sands has had a bit of a knock and has missed training this week, he will return to training tomorrow.
"He has played out of position a lot this season and would like the opportunity to give him some time in his preferred position."
On the club's aforementioned long-term injured player, Beale did provide a rough timeline for their expected returns.
He added: "Ridvan we hope to see a return in three or four weeks. Tom Lawrence, is working hard with his rehab and we will support him through this.
"Ianis Hagi, all going to plan we hope to have him in the squad for the St Johnstone home match at the end of the month."
Meanwhile, Rangers need to focus their recruitment push on more attacking-minded than Tom Davies.
That's the view of Open Goal Broomhill manager Si Ferry.
The former Celtic kid insists that Michael Beale has enough players in his squad who play like the Everton midfielder.
The 35-year-old insists Davies is fine and does the simple things of the game well.
But it's simply not what Rangers need to improve their team as things stand.
He's urged Ross Wilson and Beale to recruit better midfielders in an attacking sense.
