Michael Beale has a solution to his goalkeeping 'void' at Rangers according to former Ibrox defender Alan Hutton.
The Light Blues have had somewhat of a revolving door in between the sticks this campaign with veteran Alan McGregor the de facto number one at Ibrox after initially being shunned under previous boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst in favour of 35-year-old Jon McLauglin. A 4-0 hammering to Celtic, however, saw heavy criticism come down on the Scotland star.
Since Beale's arrival, McGregor has been the most deployed in the key position but McLaughlin has still seen reasonable game time while youngster Robby McCrorie has been injured. Yet Hutton believes previously-linked stopper Jack Butland could be the answer for a summer swoop. The Crystal Palace goalie's contract is up in the summer and is on loan at Manchester United.

And the pundit also insists Beale can take inspiration from Joe Hart's move to Celtic in the summer that only cost the Hoops around £1million when Ange Postecoglou had to deal with a lack of strong options upon his arrival.
He told Football Insider: “He is a good age, he has not played a whole lot of football over the last few years but he has been out on loan and different things.
“He has got experience, he has been in the England set up. To a certain extent I see him the way Joe Hart was when he came to Celtic, even though Joe Hart has a lot more experience than him.
“But he is not playing at this moment in time. It is a great opportunity for him. He has still got a good few years ahead of him and that is the kind of name that they need to fill that void with a lot of experience.“
