Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp were both thoroughly impressed by Eddie Nketiah's performance during Arsenal's Premier League clash against Leeds United.
The north Londoners dominated the proceedings at the Emirates Stadium, with Hale End academy graduate Nketiah netting a first-half brace before Luke Ayling received a straight red card for a two-footed challenge on Gabriel Martinelli. Speaking to Sky Sports at half-time, former Manchester City defender Richards said: "It was a horrible start [for Leeds].
"Arsenal’s press, everyone knowing their jobs. As soon as it goes back, Nketiah just anticipates that Leeds want to play out of the back.

"It’s just great centre-forward play. He doesn’t sprint, but he goes, ‘okay, Leeds want to play out, this is what we’re going to do’, Meslier takes a really bad touch.
"He’s left-footed, he’s tried to bring it across onto his left foot. Nketiah just reads it."
And former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Redknapp agreed with his colleague, hailing Nketiah for the finishing ability he showed for the Gunners' second goal. "The finish is brilliant because it’s such a hard one", the ex-England international said.
"He’s falling backwards, he improvises lovely and great finish from someone bang in form." The 22-year-old is into the final two months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, with a departure appearing likely given his limited first-team opportunities over the last few seasons.
However, he has showcased his sky-high potential in recent weeks, scoring four goals in his last four outings - equalling fellow frontman Alexandre Lacazette's league tally for the entire 2021/22 campaign.
