Micah Parsons effortlessly sent 310-pound Mike McGlinchey airborne and fans were in awe

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons weighs 245 pounds. San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Mike McGlinchey weighs 310. Basic physics suggests the larger man would have the advantage in a one-on-one matchup in the trenches.

Basic physics, however, would fail to account for Parsons’ explosiveness and ability to create leverage. That’s how, even after getting chipped by George Kittle on an edge rush, the All-Pro defender was able to close the distance on his target, get underneath the lineman’s center of gravity and, with one arm, execute a simple hip toss (or, in football terms, hump move) that sent McGlinchey flying before crashing into Brock Purdy to force an incompletion in Sunday’s playoff game.

It was a stunning display of speed and power from a player who has spent his two seasons in the league making these highlights a regular occurrence. Parsons has 26.5 sacks and 34 tackles for loss in two years as a Cowboy, earning first-team All-Pro honors each season. But even this seemed excessive from a player who makes the exceptional look ordinary.

And that’s how you get fans to notice a QB hurry — not a sack, not an interception — to the point where you become a trending topic online.
