On Sunday, the New York Giants came, saw, and stomped all over the Minnesota Vikings to earn a spot in the Divisional Round. While Daniel Jones finally resembled a trustworthy franchise QB, Brian Daboll cemented his place as a great NFL coach with his first playoff win.
But one of the primary and more underrated reasons for the Giants’ 31-24 upset victory is their confidence. This is not a team short on audacity, and it pays off in spades for them. Take DL Dexter Lawrence, for example. The 2022 Second-Team All-Pro is not only talented, but he carries himself as such on the field. He lets his opponents know he’s coming on the regular.
Lawrence happened to be mic’d up during the Giants’ massive Wild Card win, and his hilarious jawing with Vikings’ offensive linemen — during a monstrous six-tackle, four-QB hit performance — did not disappoint:

The Giants will enter Philadelphia to play the Eagles on Saturday as massive underdogs. If they continue to carry themselves like the trash-talking Lawrence, they may leave with a spot in the NFC title game.
