When the Chicago Bears acquired D.J. Moore this offseason, he was expected to be a true No. 1 wide receiver to make Justin Fields’ job easier in Year 3. But through two weeks, the frustration is unavoidable in Chicago.
Even Moore himself isn’t loving how the Bears have utilized him thus far this season. We can thank the Buccaneers’ Devin White for that insight.
Despite Moore having a solid game — six catches for 104 yards — in the Bears’ 27-17 loss to the Bucs on Sunday, White seemed to be in disbelief with how little the Bears got Moore involved in the offense. In his time with the Panthers, Moore would get at least eight targets in most games. He has nine total in two weeks.
So, when White brought that up to Moore after the game in a mic’d-up video, Moore basically agreed with the Bucs linebacker and said, “Tell me about it.”

White and Moore were in the same division for four years.

In all likelihood, Moore was just being friendly with a former NFC South rival and didn’t want to argue semantics. After all, he did have a 100-yard game that day. But given how Fields criticized coaching (before walking back on the remarks), there seems to be a theme here with talented offensive players on the Bears not loving what offensive coordinator Luke Getsy is drawing up for them on Sundays.
And, of course, NFL fans had plenty of thoughts on the video. Players should probably remember that microphones are *everywhere* on the field.
