CORAL GABLES, Fla. — There was every reason to assume the 19th-ranked Miami Hurricanes would beat Louisville at home Saturday night, and they did, 93-85, as three UM players surpassed 20 points.
But nobody expected the Canes would have to work so hard to stave off the Cardinals, whose 3-22 record is the worst in school history.
Miami entered the game 13-0 at the Watsco Center this season, including an emotional blowout victory over Duke last Monday. The Hurricanes had rolled over the Cardinals by 27 points on the road in December.
