Following Jimmy Butler’s postgame comments where he indicated he would like to be traded from the team, the Miami Heat have suspended the star forward for seven games, adding that the team will consider trade offers for the 14-year veteran.
The team announced on Friday that Butler has been suspended for “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team over the course of the season and particularly the last several weeks.” The Heat continued that, “Through his actions and statements, he has shown he no longer wants to be part of this team. Jimmy Butler and his representative have indicated that they wish to be traded, therefore, we will listen to offers.”
