Animal welfare experts are appealing for a loving home for Mia, a sweet seven-year-old Akita-Border Collie crossbreed currently staying at Dogs Trust West Calder.
Her carers say Mia is a fun-loving girl who enjoys being outdoors.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “She loves being outside and always looks forward to her daily walks where she can explore new places and have a good sniff. She is very clever and enjoys showing off her tricks in exchange for treats.
“Mia is a gentle girl who makes strong bonds with her family, happy being in their company. She enjoys lounging around the house, finding a sun-soaked spot to relax in where she can watch the world go by.
“While Mia loves her closest human friends, she prefers to keep to herself and likes walking in quiet areas where she is unlikely to meet other dogs.
“An adventurous girl, she would like to have a garden of her own to explore during the day. She would love to live with large breed lovers who can give her lots of attention.”

The centre is celebrating its foster carers throughout the summer and will be hosting a special event, Thank Dog it’s Fostering Friday, on Friday, August 12, 2pm to 3.30pm, where prospective foster carers can learn how they can get involved in the charity’s successful Home from Home scheme.
