MHA examining proposal for ILP: Meghalaya CM

SHILLONG: Chief minister Conrad K Sangma told the assembly on Monday that the Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) was examining the proposal sent by the Meghalaya Government on the of implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in the state.

Replying to a question raised by legislator Process T Sawkmie, the CM said the government has sent multiple reminders to the MHA regarding implementation of ILP and the state government is perusing the matter.
