Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum surprised reporters at her regular morning press conference on Wednesday (4 June) by tossing a football into the crowd at the end of the briefing.
The event was part of a promotional activity tied to the 2026 World Cup, which opens in Mexico City on 11 June.
Two journalists scrambled to catch it, with one reporter falling to the floor in the process.
Sheinbaum immediately stepped forward to help her up before handing her the ball. The light-hearted moment prompted laughter from those gathered at the event.
