Gamavisión Noticias reporter Alma de la Rosa Flores and cameraman Cristo Morales were struck by a skidding Jeep during a live broadcast in Monterrey, Mexico, on Friday, 2 October. The journalists were covering damage caused by heavy rain on Avenida Morones Prieto, in the Nuevo Repueblo neighbourhood. Both were taken to hospital for assessment.
Presenter Mario Gámez later said their injuries were not considered serious, according to reports by El Financiero and La Razón. De la Rosa said afterwards that she had been warning motorists to reduce their speed because the crew had already identified the location as hazardous.
