Mexico and the Latino World Mourn the Loss of Paquita La Del Barrio

The death of Mexican artist Paquita la del Barrio shocked the Hispanic entertainment world and Spanish-language music lovers. The legendary "Guerrillera del Bolero" passed away at the age of 77, after years of battling serious health problems.

On social media, music stars, actors, journalists, and the general public mourned the physical disappearance of the singer of 'Rata de Dos Patas' and many other songs of heartbreak and disappointment.

The Latin Grammy organization, the most important organization in Latin music and which awards the prestigious prize, paid him a beautiful tribute:
"We mourn the passing of an iconic voice of Mexican music: Paquita la del Barrio, nominated for a #LatinGRAMMY and a #GRAMMY , leaves an unforgettable legacy in Latin music with her unparalleled performance. Rest in peace."

Celebrities say goodbye to Paquita la del Barrio

Among the first to react to the terrible news was singer Lupita D'Alessio, who followed in her footsteps.
