Otto Sirgo, the Cuban-born Mexican actor whose face became familiar to generations of telenovela viewers through "Rosa Salvaje," "Lazos de Amor," "Niña Amada Mía" and dozens of other productions, died Tuesday at 79.
The Mexican National Association of Performers, ANDI, confirmed Sirgo's death on Sept. 29, remembering him as an actor with an extensive career across theater, film and television who achieved international recognition through Mexican melodramas.
