The extradition of dozens of cartel operatives to the U.S. is "an offering" from the Mexican government seeking to appease the Trump administration, according to an expert on organized crime.
Carlos Perez Ricart told The New York Times that the development is "far from a magic solution" but the Sheinbaum administration is "buying itself some time."
