Metrics show how dominant Rams offense was in Week 12 vs. Cardinals

Kyren Williams made his much-anticipated return in Week 12 and the Los Angeles Rams offense was firing on all cylinders in their 37-14 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Ahead of the Monday night matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings, the Rams offense currently has the second-highest EPA per play among all teams in Week 12 (according to rbsdm.com).

The Rams registered an EPA per play of 0.310, which is only behind the Dallas Cowboys, who produced an EPA per play of 0.388 against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving. For one of the first times this season, the passing and running game were clicking in unison for the Rams on Sunday.

Matthew Stafford tossed four touchdown passes en route to having the third-best dropback EPA per play (0.373) and the best dropback success rate (61.8%) this week. And with Williams scampering for 143 yards on 16 attempts versus the Cardinals, the Rams boast the highest rushing EPA per play (0.246) and the sixth-highest rushing success rate (48.5%).

To improve to 5-6 on the season, the Rams put together their most well-rounded performance in Week 12 against the Cardinals. After nearing 500 yards of offense on Sunday, the Rams will look to maintain their offensive success against one of the premier defenses in the NFL — the Cleveland Browns — in Week 13.
