Methanol victims' families brace for poor legal outcome

Australian families of the teens who died in the methanol poisoning backpacking tragedy in Laos are bracing for a legal outcome they believe would be devastingly inadequate.

Melbourne teens Bianca Jones and Holly Morton-Bowles, both aged 19, were among several tourists who were killed after drinking tainted shots at the Vang Vieng Nana Backpackers Hostel in 2024.
