Brits are being urged to take meter readings before the end of the month in a warning that comes ahead of another energy price increase on October 1.
Households will be charged a record rate when the change kicks in. Submitting meter readings before they come into effect means customers won't be overcharged for the energy used at the new rate.
Money expert Money Lewis previously advised: "That way you draw a line in the sand that says to your energy firm, I've only used this amount at the cheaper rate."
