We've seen several leaks point to 2026 as the release date, and we fully expect Meta to deliver two headsets this time around. Meta Connect 2025, which happens on September 17, may give us a more concrete look.
According to The Information, Meta plans to sell a Quest 4 and Quest 4S in 2026, targeting high-end and budget VR fans simultaneously. The Meta Quest 3 will be three years old at that point, which is the same age the Quest 2 was when the Quest 3 was released. Based on several canceled Quest Pro 2 prototypes and even several Quest 4 prototypes, the next headsets may look very different from current models.
