The Metropolitan Police Commisioner has resigned from her role tonight (February 10) just hours after saying she had "absolutely no intention" of quitting.
Dame Cressida Dick has dramatically left the job after a string of scandals in recent months, most recently the 'Partygate' investigations involving the Prime Minister's office.
Speaking to BBC Radio London earlier today, Dame Cressida said she recognised the scandal of parties at No 10 has “hugely disgusted” members of the public.
