The Met Office has issued another weather warning as ice and snow are expected to hit Liverpool again this weekend.
Temperatures continue to be below average for December, with travel disruption as freezing conditions have brought some services to a standstill. Forecasters say skies through much of the night again mean temperatures will plummet leading to a hard frost and some freezing fog patches.
A yellow weather warning for ice and snow is in place for Liverpool and the rest of the north west from 3am to 9pm on Sunday (December 18).

The Met Office has warned a period of snow will lead to some disruption to travel and other activities, before turning to rain later. It said people can expect:
- Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel
- Some rural communities could become cut off
- Power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- A chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
It is then predicted to warm up significantly overnight on Sunday, with highs of 11C expected on Monday, though with a real feel of around 8C.
