It is set to be a rainy few days in Greater Manchester... before a brighter start to the New Year.
Much of the region will wake up to heavy showers this morning (Wednesday), with Met Office forecasters predicting the weather will change to overcast by lunchtime. Temperatures will reach highs of around 10C.
More light showers are forecast for tomorrow, with some expected in the early morning and mid-afternoon. Though forecasters predict it to be a sunnier day, with the mercury reaching 7C.
Friday looks set to be another rainy day in Greater Manchester. Showers are forecast at intervals throughout the morning and afternoon.
Temperatures will reach a high of 11C. Saturday is forecast to be the rainiest day with heavy showers expected in the morning up until lunchtime.
According to the Met Office, there may be more light showers in the afternoon on New Year's Eve with maximum temperatures of 9C in our region. New Year's Day looks set to be a lot brighter with cloudy and sunny conditions forecast, and the mercury peaking at 8C.
