The Met Office has forecast a huge weather shift in Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands - as temperatures plunge by ten degrees within a matter of days. Meteorologists have predicted the mercury, which will top 11C on Friday, will be down in the single digits by Sunday - and eventually as low as 1C by Tuesday.
In its prediction for the city and surrounding region, the forecasters warn the weather will become "wetter and windier." The Met Office has even predicted "some snow showers next week, as easterly winds develop".
Today (Wednesday, February 1) will be another windy day, with some cloud and bright spells in Nottinghamshire. Drizzles have been forecast as we head into the afternoon as temperatures could drop to 5C.
